IOT is the ever growing network of physical objects that feature an IP address for Internet Connectivity. The communication that occurs between these objects and other Internet enabled devices and system.

IOT extends internet connectivty beyond traditional devices like Desktops-computers and Laptop-computers, Smart-phones and Tablets to diverse range of devices and everyday things that utilize embeded technology to communicate and interact with external environments, all via the internet.

Examples of objects that fall under the scope of IOT include connected security system, cars, electronic appliances, lights in household and commercial environmen, alarm clocks, speaker system, vending machines and more.
