General understanding on SSL

Secure Sockets Layer- a standard security technology for making a stable or firm encrypted link between a web server and browser.

1. The link ensures that all data transfered or shared between the web server and browser remains private.
2. To create an SSL connection a server requires an SSL certificate.When you choose to activate SSL you will be prompted to complete a number of question about the website’s identity and company.
3. Uses or consists of “asymmetic” encrytion (Public Key and Private Key).
